Chihuly Garden & Glass
The client is Chihuly Garden and Glass , located in Seattle, WA, right below the space needle. Chihuly Garden and Glass is a long term exhibition of the works of Dale Chihuly, a glass artist who has lead the avant-guard development of glass blowing as a fine art. Chihuly has grown a fascination with glasshouses and garden settings, which has lead to dozens of his exhibitions being set in gardens all around the globe. Seattle’s ‘space needle’ has been a reminder for the region of the ideas and dreams of that time. In attempt to reinvigorate the greater Seattle area, the owners of the Seattle Center invited Dale Chihuly to create a comprehensive collection of his work. This glasshouse, garden, and exhibition hall now stands to support opportunities for education and involvement of the arts. The audience is the artist community of the greater Seattle area, and art loving tourists from across the globe. Male or Female , all ages, families or anyone else interested in fine art. The formats will include a one sided poster (11x17”, with bleed) that will be displayed in the museum and around the city. An invitation/envelope/mailer (envelope: 6.5x4.75” with no bleed, invitation: 5.5x8.5 with bleed) that will be mailed out to the museum members to promote the event. A ticket (5.5x2” with bleed) that will be mailed out with the invitations.
